Benefits of Being a Consultant...Part Three with Gratitude

Today I am going to tell you more about my team because I just can't say enough about what it means to be the leader of the my team, the Rose Blossoms.  In the end, I don't even know that I will be able to use words to say what I want to say.

I showed you a photo the other day of my team after the Operation Smile crop we held.  It was absolutely so much fun for such an amazing cause!!  All totalled, we raised $2040 for Operation Smile!

Let me tell you some of the things my team members did to raise that money.
  • One of my team members, Barb, not only set up the meeting rooms for us along with a discounted room block, but she worked with the hotel to get the meeting room free.  We were able to give this money instead to Operation Smile!
  • Several Rose Blossoms donated cards, and we sold them for $2.00 each.  We raised $396 with card sales!!
  • We sold tickets to win an Artistry collection, and that was fun!!  $224 went to Operation Smile from selling tickets and one lucky winner went home with a brand new Artistry collection!
  • About a month before the event, I sent out a message that if anyone wanted to donate an item for a silent auction, they could.  Oh my did we have wonderful artwork for auction, and the pieces raised $422!!

  • Two artwork item were larger pieces, so I decided we should do a live auction on them,  These two pieces raised $433!  (That's Cathy on the left and Kristina on the right.)

By the time we did the live auction, I have to tell you that I was so tired!  It had been a super fun weekend with very little sleep.  I had the girls do their own auctions, and it was like they were born to be auctioneers!!  I was in tears by this time because my heart was filled with so much gratitude for everyone in the room that opened their wallets to help us raise money.

When Kristina held up her framed canvas, the bidding went high very quickly!  The bid ended at $358!!  It was one of my team members, Kim, that won the canvas, and I rushed over to hug her and thank her for her donation.  She asked me to stay up in front with her.  Kim said some very wonderful things to me and then told me that the team had secretly collected that $358 during the day in order to bid on that item and give it to me!

(Disclaimer:  I do not look very good in this photo - remember, I was so tired and to add crying to that - well, I think you understand!  But look at Kristina and Kim's faces instead.  You will see much kindness and joy!)

This framed canvas now hangs in my home.  We live in a split level home, and it is the first thing you see when you walk up the stairs.  I stop by this frame each day and give thanks to God for the beautiful people he has so generously placed in my life to share this journey.

So this is my team.

They are women with hearts of kindness and love.
When someone new comes to the team, they are welcomed with open arms!!
This year one of my team members, Lynn, presented on stage at Convention.  Everyone was so excited for her, and even if they weren't able to go to Convention, they were cheering her on!!
The Rose Blossoms support each other - in their lives and in Close To My Heart.

If you are thinking of starting a journey of your own with Close To My Heart, I want to invite you to be a new bud on this big Rose Blossom tree.  We'd love to have you!!

Benefits of Being a Close To My Heart Consultant...Part Two

I hope you enjoyed the photos of some of my team members yesterday!  Today I am going to get down to the nitty gritty.  There are two questions I am asked the most, so let's dive in.

What is my commission?

Close to My Heart welcomes all kinds of consultants!  Whether you would like a discount on your own purchases or whether you'd would like to be a part-time or full-time consultant, you have a place!   The instant commission on an order is 22%.  That means that on a $100 order, you will automatically keep $22!

Not only that, but as your sales increase each month, you will receive FREE select product credit!  With that you can purchase paper, stamps, ink, blocks, Studio J layout, and more!

Let me take this a couple of steps further for you so that you can see the financial benefits of being a Close To My Heart consultant.
  • FREE Website with Consultant Locator - This is a HUGE benefit!  People can shop from you 24/7!
  • FREE Online Office for Consultants - There is a wealth of information on the Online Office! There are ready-made workshops by the Home Office and fellow consultants that you can use to quickly teach a class
  • YOU Can be a Hostess! - As a consultant, you can earn free product and half-price items on top of your commission and select product credit!
Now besides all of that, there is an incredible incentive program called Straight To The Top to reward you for your sales in the first 90 days!

What are the minimum amount of sales I need each quarter?

Quite simply, you need to submit $300 in cumulative orders each quarter.  It's as simple as showing an Idea Book to friends or having a quarterly club.  I bet you'll find that $300 is not your maximum!!

Do you have questions about the commission?  Please don't hesitate to contact me!

This is where you can check out the consultant kit along with everything that is inside.  And don't forget, when you join Close To My Heart in October, you will receive this gorgeous bag in your kit!

Benefits of Being a Close To My Heart Consultant...Part One

There are so many benefits to being a Close To My Heart consultant that I don't even know where to begin!!  I think, though, that today I will start with camaraderie and the importance of a good team.

Do you wish for friends that share in the same love of paper crafting as you do?
What about a large group that gets together often to share paper crafting ideas, food, and friendship?

Let me tell you about my team, the Rose Blossoms, through some photos that have been taken over the year.

This was taken at a weekend crop that is held by two of my dear friends and downline, Mary (far left) and Barb (far right).

This was taken at our team meeting in January where we celebrated 2014 accomplishments.

The next photo was taken during a weekend retreat.  I love those weekends!!

And, of course, I have to show some fun pictures from Convention in July!!

(I LOVE having a sign that says Rose Blossoms"!!)

Here we are with Monica Wihongi, CTMH Chief Communications Officer, at an event in September.  She is our favorite honorary Rose Blossom!

And finally, here's my very beautiful wind-blown team after working hard at the Operation Smile crop weekend.  We raised over $2000, and that means 8 children will receive new smiles!!

Come back tomorrow for the next installment of the benefits of being a Close To My Heart consultant!

In the meantime, click on this link to check out this AWESOME Consultant Kit!

Sangria in Tuscany

Sangria is such a beautiful fall paper with such rich colors!  Before I delve into the fall and Thanksgiving aspect of this paper, I want to show you another use for this paper.

These are photos from when we visited Tuscany in 2008, and I thought the colors in Sangria were perfect.  Here are some up-close views because I want you to see how pretty the kraft and vellum complements are for Sangria.

Thanks for stopping by today!

(If you are a Close To My Heart consultant, the directions for this layout are under the Gatherings & Workshop on the Go in the Online Office.  Enjoy creating it!)

Rose Blossoms Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop featuring the October Stamp of the Month, Twinkle.  We are really excited to show you our creations with this fun Christmas stamp set.  This hop is a great big circle so you can pick it up anywhere and just keep hopping.

I layered white on white for this card and added some touches of color using White Pines paper.  Because I chose to use the sentiment "twinkle," I dry embossed the top layer with the Confetti Stars embossing folder.

Now, it's time to move on to Lynn's blog where she has some amazing artwork waiting for you.

Thank you so much for stopping in and visiting our hop!
