Artfully Sent + Gift Bags

When someone asks me if Artfully Sent is just for cards, I always tell them a resounding "no!"  There is just so much that you can do with this cartridge, and my goal is to show you some of those other things!!

I've used card fronts to decorate these bags.  Because they are "see through" sentiment card, I used gold and silver glitter paper behind them. What a fun way to decorate bags!!

Getting Spooky with Cricut Vinyl

I have never cut anything with Cricut vinyl, so when my leader posed a challenge for a new technique, I had to give it a whirl.  I need a simple Halloween/Fall container for my craft fair, so this is what I came up with.

How fun and easy is that?!  I was very hesitant to try this, so if you are...don't be!  

These are the settings you need for your Cricut Expression:

Blade Depth - 3

Pressure - Medium

Speed - High

I have to get more of this vinyl and try some other projects.  I purchased a Cricut Explore last week on HSN, so I'm hoping to delve into a lot more projects!

This is one of the nicest craft shows that I participate in, and I know many vendors and crafters that agree.  Not only are we spoiled greatly by the Swim and Dive team carrying our product in and out, but there are just so many wonderful crafters there.  I always find the perfect handcrafted gift!

I'll have a wide assortment of gifts for various occasions in my booth, and I will also be selling Close To My Heart paper, complements, and some very popular stamps.

 Today I wanted to show you a sampling of some of the Halloween treats I will be selling.  It has been so much fun to make these!!  

(Who wouldn't want a coffin filled with chocolate eyeballs for Halloween?!)

I'll come back again this week to share some more fun items that will be for sale.  I hope to see many of my local friends on Saturday!

Happy Halloween

There is some paper called Spellbound that is in the While Supplies Last section of my website.  Hands down that has been my favorite Halloween paper.  Ever.  I love the bold Sunset, Black, and White Daisy in this package.  Not to mention that right now a package of 18 sheets of paper (12 cardstock and 6 prints)  is just $2.20!

I've been wanting to make some Halloween treat tube holders, and this paper was perfect for the candy corn M&M's I found.

To make the holders, I used a PDF file from The Cutting Cafe.  I printed the template directly on the paper, so it was really fast and easy to put these together.  The black cat is from a stamp set called Eek & Shriek, and the other stamps are from the retired Spellbound stamp set.   The cat is also a die-cut from the Artbooking cartridge.  The organdy and twine are from my stash, and what you can't see are the silver glitter circles on the top of the tubes.  What a fun little treat for Halloween!

Trick or Treat

I've been working on some classes, so today I am showing you the cover of a Halloween mini album.  I made this using the fast, simple, and easy Artbooking cartridge!

I've used items from the While Supplies List to complete this album - Spellbound paper, Black Tulle, and Black Glitter Buttons.  So easy and fun using the Artbooking cartridge!

This is a bit of a tease...I can't show you the inside just yet because I am teaching this 5-page album as one of my Artbooking classes.  Watch my right sidebar for when that class goes on sale!

Trick or Treat

With only one week left until Halloween,  I thought I'd better pull out my Halloween goodies and create some more with them.  I was on a little vacation the past few days, and it was really relaxing to get away.  However, by the time we were driving home, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some paper, ink, and stamps!

For this card, I pulled out a few scraps of Moonlight (the stripe and dotted banners) and my Spellbound Workshop on the Go stamp set.  I created the argyle background by stamping with goldrush ink.  I added a little piece of black tulle, a label and a couple cute little bats from Spellbound, and the black cat from the Moonlight Dimensional Elements.  (Big thanks to Jamie for the cat - I have one, but I was hoarding it!!)  I used a pattern from the Make It From Your Heart book.  Such a handy how-to book and such a great price at $7.95!

Cut it Up Gets Spooky!!

It's time for the 4th challenge at Cut It Up!  I am truly inspired by the other designers and all of you that enter in our challenges.  It's just great to see you play with us!   This week we want to see your Halloween creations.  The rules are simple - use a die-cut to give us one great project!

I made a treat box to show you.  This is the paper and one of thestamps from the Spellbound Workshop on the Go.  I used the Cricut Artiste to cut the box, yoyo flower, and the label.  What an easy box!!

Shane's First Halloween-y!

I pulled this layout from Shane's 1st year book to share with you. In this picture, it was 1989 and he was just 6 months old! Wow, that was just yesterday! Wasn't he cute as a little jockey?

I used some fun Halloween paper and KI Memories Halloween lace cardstock. That lace cardstock is such a nice way to keep the look of patterned paper.

When Shane was three years old, we started having parties at our house for the little ones. Oh, we went through a lot of toilet paper for mummies, lots of spaghetti for brains, and apples for bobbing. We always tried to put fun instead of scare into Halloween, and it was great fun!
