Just Be Your Beautiful Self (and How You Can Get This Card!)

I liked the sketch at Mojo Monday this week and thought I'd give it a whirl.  Do you have a whole bunch of wash tape in your stash?  It's hard to resist in all its cute patterns, so I am constantly trying to find new ways to use it.  I created the background of this card with the thin Thistle roll in our Limeade Washi Pack.  I had some scraps of the retired Brush paper, so that is the canary floral that you see.  I used the Thistle sheet in Penelope for a background piece and the Cricut circle.  Thistle glitter paper, twine, and glitter dots finished off the card nicely.

April is a fabulous month here at Close To My Heart. and it's the best time to become a Close To My Heart consultant!  (READ ALL THE INFO HERE)

Remember I said you can get this card?
The next two people that join my team will receive one of these cards in the mail!  You will love opening the envelope with this sparkly glitter paper.

And I know that you will love Close To My Heart!

Please ask me any questions you'd like or if you are ready to join, simply

I can't wait to welcome you!!

Artbooking in August - Card

How are you enjoying the Monday Artbooking Hop?  It is fabulous to see so much varied creativity, isn't it? Welcome to Week #2!  Over 35 consultants are bringing you examples of cards created with the Artbooking cartridge.  This is a circular hop, but should you get lost along the way, you can start at the beginning RIGHT HERE.

I made a 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 birthday card using the All Star key found on page 83 of the Artbooking booklet.

The overlay image is perfect for card backgrounds.

This is ProPlayer paper, and I find it perfect for sports of any kind.  I also cut "all star" and the circle from this key.  The stamp sets I used are All the Details and Holiday Tags.  The embellishments I used are black and silver shimmer trim, outdoor denim chevon ribbon, grey sparkles, and a badge from the ProPlayer assortment.  What a perfect card for my baseball-playing nephew!

Now it's time to head over to Lisa's blog to see the card she created for you!!  Enjoy the journey through the blogs because there sure is a lot of creativity out there!!

Blessings

I just wanted to share a simple card I made a couple of days ago.

I've used CTMH textured cardstock in desert sand as my bases.  I am hoarding my textured cardstock from CTMH because they are not making it anymore.  I am so sad about that!!  There is no textured cardstock quite like they made.  I don't hoard very often, but this one I'll admit! ;)

The houndstooth paper is Webster's Pages, and the stamps are Penny Black (tree) and Stampendous (sentiment).  Just a simple card, but that houndstooth gives it a lot of pop!

Have a great Wednesday!

New Book, New Look!
