If you don't follow my Instagram or business Facebook page, I want to invite you to do that.  I will be posting there with announcements about new product and all kinds of fun things!!

Enjoy Your Adventure

I hope you are doing great!  I am so appreciative when you stop by to visit.  I took out some more No Worries to work with today.  I love this paper!

I used watercolor pencils to create the backgrounds on the paper.  Let me tell you how I did that.  The woodgrain paper has grey tones, so I need to give it more of a traditional wood look.

I simply colored the paper (rather sporadically) with desert sand ink.  It works best if you do this by using the side of the pencil.  There's no need to color the whole area because you will blend it out with the water brush.  As you can see, my isn't perfect - and chances are that yours will look completely different.  That's the beauty of watercolor.  Next I grabbed another piece of subtly printed paper to create the other piece of the card.

Again, I colored the paper with watercolor pencils.  I used desert sand for the sand and crystal blue for the ocean/sky.

After blending out the color with the water brush, I stamped the bottom of the piece with the sand image from the No Worries Cardmaking stamp set.  I used desert sand ink for the sand, chair, sentiment, and starfish.  I used glacier ink for the umbrella.

I finished off the card with the woodgrain sequins and natural burlap ribbon.

I hope you've learned something new today.  Now, go to your room and create!
 It's good for your soul.

Life is Meant to be Lived

Isn't that the truth?  Sometimes I think we forget how important it is to breathe and just enjoy living.
That's what my card is all about today.  No Worries is made up of papers that are good for the soul.  Not only are the colors soothing, but the rich patterns are as well.

I've distressed the edges of the papers with Cashmere ink.  It's a soft sand color, and it's one of my favorites to use with beach scenes.  The paper with the trees is one of the journaling cards that you will find in the No Worries paper packet.    I used the No Worries Scrapbooking stamp set for the birds and sentiments, and that stamp set will never leave my collection.  I'll show it to you in a bit, and I think you'll agree that it's a must have and a keeper!

That twine I've used is white burlap ribbon.  What is unique is that you can cut it apart at the seams and use it in single strands.  That's how I used it under the No Worries sticker.

Here are the products I used in today's card:

(The blue lines around the cruise ship and palm trees mean that you can buy a bundle that contains the stamp set and palm trees.)

I want to close today with a story that I heard.  There was a man that lived his whole life alone, never having a wife or family.  He didn't spend much time with extended family, because he had his own business and chose to work seven days a week.  He was becoming very comfortable financially very  quickly, storing his money away for the future.  All of a sudden he was in his 70s, and there were financial problems within his company.  He lost everything - every penny he had saved.  All of the money that he worked so hard to save was gone.  And the worst part?  He had never fostered any relationships with his family.  He never chose to spend time with them or go on vacations.  He never chose to just live.

So my advice to you today is to just live.  Go out for dinner and spend an evening with those you love.  Have coffee with a friend - no matter how busy you are.  Spend some of your money on a vacation.  Even a long weekend away creates memories and leaves your footprints in new places.

Life is meant to be lived.

Thank You

I don't remember if I told you or not, but I was asked to be an Extravaganza teacher at the Close To My Heart Convention.  I am so excited!  And that's what I've been doing in the last few weeks - creating artwork with product that will be released to Consultants at Convention in two weeks.  It will go live to all of you on August 1st!

Today I wanted to create something for you.  So I thought a thank you card was appropriate!  You hang in there with me when I am absent, and you come back to me when I post.  I really appreciate you!

For this card, I made a Sea Glass card base.  If you need some more Sea Glass, be sure to order it soon!  Sea Glass is our color of the year, and it is retiring on July 31st.  Don't wait till the last minute because it could very well sell out!

Let me tell you how I colored this rose from Keep Dreaming.  I used Shinhan markers to achieve this look.  I colored the edges of the petals with Cerulean Blue, and then I filled the petal with Pastel Peach.  To achieve the depth, I went over the whole flower with Cerulean Blue again, and then I blended the petals with the colorless blender.  I did the leaves in a similar way, using Sap Green on the edges and Leaf Green over the whole leaf.

The grid paper is from the Enchantment Fundamentals (retiring July 31st!), and the sentiment is from a retired set called In Bloom.

Thank you so much for visiting me today!  I really appreciate the time that you spend here!

No Worries Scrapbook Workshop Kit

No Worries is so perfect for summer and vacation photos!  I think you will want these pages for all the summer and beach photos you are going to be taking in the next few months.  I've added some flip flaps to the 3rd layout so that you can see how to add even more photos to your layout.

These (3) 2-page layouts will hold 23-29 photos!
Yay for getting your photos off your phone and on to pages!!

I felt very relaxed when I worked with this paper, and I think it's because the colors are so perfect together.  And maybe it's because the cashmere brown reminded me of the feeling of sand between my toes. ;)  This pictures were taken on the Puerto Vallarta Close To My Heart Incentive Trip this past winter.  There's really nothing better than warm sand in the winter!!

This kit is $45, and that fee includes:
  • No Worries Workshop Your Way (No Worries paper packet, No Worries complements, White Daisy cardstock, No Worries sequins, and White Burlap ribbon)
  • 4 Memory Protectors
  • 2 Flip Flaps - 3"x 4" each
  • Photo Instructions
  • Shipping

SHIPPING:  The No Worries kits will begin shipping on July 5th.

Hello Foxy Stamp of the Month

Each month I make 6" x 8" scrapbook pages for the Top Sellers on my team.  I love that they have these layouts to put their photos on and celebrate their accomplishments!  This is the layout that I sent for April sales awards.

This is Little Dreamer paper, and I loved using it in this more elegant way.  I watercolored and fussy cut the wreath.  Such a simple layout with room for a photo and journaling.

The stamp of the month is always just $5 with a $50 purchase.

Flower Market Key 22

Today I want to show you a page I created with Key 22 on the Flower Market cartridge.  It's so cheerful, and if you have a special photo from Easter that you haven't scrapped yet, this is the page!

Here is the Cricut Design Space file for this page so that you can re-create it!  You will have to have the Cricut Explore to work with this file.

https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/48521548

I used the Flower Market cartridge, Whimsy Fundamentals, and Whimsy Ribbon to create this page!

Close To My Heart has a fabulous video channel to teach you how to use the Flower Market cartridge.  THIS IS THE LINK for that channel.  Today, I am sharing the video of how to create this page!
