It's the Last Day!

I can't let April end without telling you one more time about this fabulous Cricut Collection special!

I want to tell you some reasons that I have made Close To My Heart my full-time career:
  • Close To My Heart truly values their consultants.  They work hard to bring us the best product and make the decisions that will keep our company strong.
  • Close To My Heart is 100% debt free.  Enough said, right?
  • I value each and every friendship I have made because of Close To My Heart.  From customers to team members to sideline sisters to leaders...my life is much richer because of all of these people!
  • I like being my own boss and setting my own hours.
  • I love creating classes and working with Close To My Heart paper and stamps.  I've been scrapping for 24 years now, and I can say with confidence that Close To My Heart truly is the best product on the market!
  • Close To My Heart and their wild generosity has made my dreams come true over and over again. As a little girl I dreamed of Italy, and Close To My Heart brought me there in 2008!  In 2013, my husband and I were blessed to visit the South Caribbean.  Just  six weeks ago, we returned from Costa Rica, and in February of 2015, we will be renewing our vows on the beaches of Oahu.   I can't say enough about what these trips have meant to me and my husband.  We would never be able to travel like this, but Close To My Heart has made it a possibility for us!
  • I love leading my Rose Blossom team.  It is lovely to work with this group of women, and it is a joy when we are able to spend time together.  In just this first four months of the year, we have cropped together, been on a retreat, and attended a Rediscover event.  Nine of my team members are going to Disneyland with me in less than two months for our annual Convention.  To top it all off, our mid-summer meeting is a pool party and creative session!!  We stay connected through a private Facebook group and that has helped us get to know each other whether near or far!
I could go on and on, but mostly what I want to say is this...why not give Close To My Heart a try?
You may not want to work full-time like I do, but that is why Close To My Heart is so wonderful!!  Everyone is welcome!!
So whether you want to earn some extra money to pay a bill or get a great discount on own your product, Close To My Heart is the place for you!

I wanted to close with some photos from the recent Rediscover Event.  What a great night filled with warmth, creativity, and fun!!  Thank you for stopping by today!

She Believed She Could

I was at a Close To My Heart a few nights ago, and it was fabulous!  We had such an inspirational talk, and went on to create a couple of really fun projects.  I'll share some more information and photos tomorrow, but today I wanted to share a card that I created with an exclusive stamp set that I won.  I used the sketch from the Sweet Sunday challenge.

I used Balloon Ride paper along with Paper Fundamentals for this card.  I used the Artbooking cartridge to cut the flowers and circles.  (Don't forget - you still have time to get your Artbooking Collection FREE when you join Close To My Heart this month!)  I stamped the image in Saddle ink and added some bling and metallic twine.

Thanks for stopping in today, and don't forget to come back tomorrow to learn more about the great time we had at the  ReDiscover event!

May Scrapbook Club

I had so much fun with the May Scrapbook Club pages!  We're a pretty outdoorsy pair when we have time off, so the Timberline paper is one of my favorites!  The first layout was created using the Timberline Workshop on the Go.  I loved all the fun technique on these pages!

On the second set of pages, I've tried to give you a feel for the other color palette in this paper packet.  Along with the Workshop on the Go stamp set, I've also used my favorite stamp set Catch You Later on these pages.  For club purposes, there is some "white space" left on these pages, but in the instructions, I will be recommending some other things that you can add.

I have a few openings in my home for May Scrapbooking Night:

Monday, May 12th at 6:30 pm (2 openings)
Tuesday May 20th at 6:30 pm (2 openings)

If you are ordering you kit long distance in May, you have a couple of options this month.  As always, my kit will come pre-stamped, pre-stamped, with full instructions, and packaged for ease of use.  But do you see the world stamp on the first layout with the stick people around it?  I will not be able to stamp those cute little stick people for you because of the placement.  So I am offering you the ability to order the full Workshop on the Go as your long distance kit.  With the full Workshop on the Go, you will receive 4 additional cardstock sheets (2 colonial white, 2 goldrush), an instructional brochure, and the Timberline D-sized stamp set.  Here is what the set looks like:

As you'll notice in the price, to get the full Workshop on the Go kit is just $10 more, so it truly is your best value!  This stamp set will never leave my collection...I love it!

Surround Yourself

I decided to play with just stamps and cardstock this morning - no patterned paper.  The sketch at Cardabiltities was perfect for what I wanted to do!

I love to stamp, and I love creme brulee ink.  So creating the chicken wire with that color was just what I wanted.  I used slate ink as a complement.  Besides that, I pulled a little of this and a little of that finish off the card - Art Philosophy vines, silver shimmer trim, sparkle flourish, white daisy button, silver metallic twine and a silver charm that says "smile."    As you look up close, I think you are able to see that I put Liquid Glass on the stamped embellishment.  That deepens the color nicely.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!

Rose Blossom Blog Hop

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop!
This is a great big circle so if you are starting here at my blog you can just keep traveling in a circle. If you're coming here from Mary's blog, I am so glad that you have started hopping and found me along the way!

On the hop, we are featuring Skylark paper because it the featured paper in the Close To My Heart Consultant Kit.  We want you to see all the many ways that Skylark can be used!  Because I love the Lagoon stripe in the packet, I used that to cut the pinwheel and Easter basket from the Artiste cartridge.

I frayed Skylark textiles to line the inside.  I filled it with some homemade banana creme rock candy that I bought at an Amish farm last weekend.  Shane will love this little Easter treat!

As you are going to see along the way, I've got an amazing team!
They are all so creative, and imagine, this is just a portion of my team!!
I would love for you to explore the Consultant Kit.  During the month of April, it is just $99 to join Close To My Heart AND you get to choose any one of the Cricut Collections FREE!

Your next stop along the way is the beautiful and talented Kim Hill,  You are going to love her blog and her artwork!  I can hardly wait to hop over and see what she's created for us!

Thank you so much for visiting today and may your day be blessed!!

The Greatest Sacrifice

I wanted to make a clean and simple card for you highlighting the use of the Artbooking cartridge.  My sketch inspiration is from Unscripted Sketches.

Easter is the perfect time to make a subtle card.  This is the basket weave overlay an the butterfly are from the Happy Easter key.  The sentiment is from the Greatest Love stamp set.
This is such a beautiful set with the most elegant of fonts:

Paint on Your Face

Even though I have been scrapbooking for so long, there are a decade of years that I have not scrapped yet.  I always think it would be nice to be "caught up." but I also enjoy pulling out Shane's little boy pictures and lingering over a page.  I found these super cute photos from the 1997 Renaissance Festival and decided to stop everything and scrap them today.

One of my favorite things about Close To My Heart is that when I pull out a paper packet, I can pull out several things that match perfectly!  I used Jubilee paper because it's just so cheerful!  The matching embellishments I used are Jubilee Complements, Tiny Type Epoxy Alphabet, Midtown Cork Shapes, Dimensional Elements Banners, Ruby Chevron Washi Tape, Canvas Alphabet (retired), and Outdoor Denim Buttons (retired).

This is a pretty simple layout in the end, but I sure did enjoy making it!  Oh, if we could only freeze time.  I am so glad that I am scrapbooker so that I can go back and visit memories now and again!!

Thanks for stopping in today, and may your day be blessed!

Thinking of You

The Mojo Monday sketch this week is a bit of a stretch for me.  It's a lovely sketch, but the mat is not a straight line on the card.  So it was really a challenge for me to angle the mat!

So I needed to take out some Laughing Lola because that design worked for me.  I am such a straight lines girl, and this was a good exercise in stepping out of my box!  I cut the flowers out of the Laughing Lola paper and then clustered them with the Laughing Lola Assortment, Black Mini Medleys, Purple Glitter Gems, and Black Shimmer Trim.

So I balanced the angled lines with some mega clustering, and in the end, it was a happy balance for me!

Thanks so much for stopping in on this fine Monday!  May it be one of your best yet!

Exciting, Exciting, and Even More Exciting News!

I feel very blessed.

There are just so many exciting things going on, and I wanted to take the time in a blog post to share.

EXCITING NEWS #1!

Just shy of a month ago, Jerry and I were in Costa Rica on the Close To My Heart Incentive Trip.  I am so appreciative to all of my customers and my downline for helping to send me on this dream-come-true trip.  We had a wonderful week enjoying the sights of Costa Rica and truly being spoiled by Close To My Heart.   I thought I'd put together a collage of some of my favorite photos for you.

EXCITING NEWS #2!

I've told you about the fabulous New Consultant Special this month. (Click here to see the post.)
So many people are jumping on board to get their free Cricut Collection, and I love that the Rose Blossoms are growing deep and wide!  In the first five days of April, the Rose Blossoms have added 12 new team members!  There are four new Rose Blossom Supervisors - WOWIE!!

I can never say enough about my team - their creativity, their caring nature, and their concern for each other.  I have an amazing team of cheerleaders, and they sure are supportive of each other!  If you have been thinking about joining Close To My Heart, we'd love to have you on our team!!

AND FINALLY, THE EVEN MORE EXCITING NEWS!

At the Close To My Heart Convention in 2013, the destination for the 2015 Incentive Trip was announced.

The Aulani Resort in Hawaii...

Jerry and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2015.  When we were married, we didn't take a honeymoon and said that some day we'd celebrate our 25th anniversary in Hawaii.
Can you believe it?  What a blessing to have the opportunity to earn a trip to Hawaii!

I am so happy.  Blessed.  Overjoyed.  And yet humbled...to tell you this next bit of news.

With help from my customers, my downline, and my husband's willingness to support me in my business, I have earned the incentive trip to Hawaii!  We will be renewing our vows on the beaches of Oahu next year, and I am so excited about this.  Once again, Close To My Heart has made my dreams come true!

As I type this, I am still somewhat in shock.  You know, I love Close To My Heart, and I love this business of mine.  I find it so rewarding to design classes for you, spend time with my customers, and to lead the best team of consultants in all of Close To My Heart.  I am so grateful that I work for a company that sees the value and importance of what we do as consultants.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I appreciate your visits, and I hope that your day is most richly blessed!

Welcome to the Simply Inspired Close To My Heart Blog Hop!

This month we are highlighting Skylark paper because that is the paper in the new Consultant Kit!  If you've come here from the lovely and creative Pamela's blog, you are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

You might think of the more neutral colors when you think of Skylark.  But I've taken out the two Lagoon patterns  to work with - they are my favorite!!  (The desert sand pattern in the background is also from Skylark.)  This card, belly band, and dress/dress form were cut with the Artiste cartridge using key "Q".  One of the reasons I LOVE Close To My Heart is that I can sit down with some papers and there are accessories to match perfectly!  On this card, I've chose to use a flower from the Skylark Assortment,  Teal Shimmer Trim, Lagoon Zipper Lace, a Sparkle Flourish, and a little bit of the Skylark Textiles.  This stamp - which is a great match for this card! - is from the April Stamp of the Month, Balloon Talk.

Now it's time to hop on over to Michelle's blog to see what she made for you out of Skylark.  Be sure to follow the circle to be inspired in the many ways you can use your folders!

A FREE Cricut Collection? Yes!!

If you've been thinking about joining Close To My Heart, now is the time!!

Let me tell you, if I could join all over again, I would!  This is an amazing special!!
With a value of over $400, this kit is just plain over-the-top incredible!!

You can choose any Cricut Collection that you'd like - Art Philosophy, Artiste, or Artbooking.  Each collection has 700 images, three coordinating stamp sets, and three coordinating sheets of Dimensional Elements.  It truly can't get any better than this!

We all know how incredible Close To My Heart is, but I really want to share things about my
very incredible team.

This past weekend, I was at a 4-day retreat with 13 of my team members and a couple of our friends.
I am in constant AWE of their creativity and their willingness to help each other.
And boy did we laugh, have a good time, and enjoy each other.

But let me tell you a little something more about what my team did for me.
They caught me completely off-guard and had a surprise birthday celebration for me.
There was a CUTE Thirty-One "CTMH Chick" bag filled with pieces of me.
Birds, coffee, my favorite wine slush, chocolate, books, lotions,
and even a gift card to my favorite clothing store.
Some of these things, I didn't even realize that they knew about me.
And they topped it all off with the most amazing and pretty cupcakes.
I don't even know how to begin to say thank you to them for their thoughtfulness and kindness!

That's what my team is like.  They are good to each other, they are kind, and they are caring.  They nurture each other's creativity, and with that I have watched each one of them blossom into amazing paper artists!

Do the Rose Blossoms sound like a good fit for you?
We'll all help you with ideas on how to meet your low quarterly minimum of $300.  One things I do is share my class patterns with my team members so that they can use them personally or teach a class.  When you paper crafting, the constant "22% off coupon" is a great thing to have!

I'd love to answer any questions you might have.  You can post here, e-mail me at girlygirlrose43@msn.com, or call me at (763) 227-0583.  I would love to help you in any way that I can!
