Friends Fur-Ever

I love the new stamp set Friendly Pets.  Of course, I have a dog and cat, so it's perfect for me!

My cat is pretty crazy.  So I wanted a crazy mix of colors and patterns for this card.  The paper is from the Whimsy Paper Fundamentals collection.  I stamped this cat in black archival and then colored her with alcohol markers.  I used the colorless blender to add shadows to her fur.

So there you have it...a pretty crazy mix of patterns and colors from me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Viva!

I came across some scraps from an exclusive paper packet that CTMH gave us at Convention in 2013.  The theme of Convention was Viva, and along with this paper packet, they gave us an exclusive stamp set.  I loved them both, and after completing the workshop, I saved every single scrap.  I am so glad because I was able to create the cheery card today!  My inspiration came from a pattern at Sketch-N-Scrap.

I used honey, cranberry, and smokey plum ink to stamp the flowers, shorter banner, and the word.  I added some bling gems to the middle of the flowers to finish them.

It's always so fun to come across something you didn't know you had!

I am also going to enter this into the Heart 2 Heart challenge (What a Wonderful World) because I am oh, so grateful, that there are flowers.  I love to grow them, I love to create them, and I love to stamp them, and I really love wearing them.  Yep, what a wonderful world!

Everything You Can Imagine

In our neck of the woods, we have had a lovely spring week.  The forsythia is in bloom, the lilies and catmint are coming up,and the trees are budding.  Such a good time of the year when everything is fresh and new!

I made some flowers for my team meeting last week, and of course, I made extra.  A girl has to have a room full of flowers!  I saw the sketch at Cardabilities this week, and I was inspired to put one of those flowers to paper.

I used Brushed paper and one of the Brushed vellum complements for the sentiment.  Artbooking cut the borders, Artiste cut the flowers, and Art Philosophy cut the leaves.  So nice to be able to depend on the Close To My Heart Cricut collections!

I also wanted to remind you of the Deal of the Day special!

Rose Blossom Blog Hop - Seasonal Expressions Volume 2

Welcome to the Rose Blossoms Blog Hop!  I want to tell you how much I appreciate that you stop in on the 1st and 15th to see what we have created or you!  I know you are going to see a whole lot of amazing on this hop!

If you are already following our circle, you should have come from Cathy's very creative blog.  If your are starting here, this is a great big circle, so you can just keep clicking through.  If you should get lost, the list of blogs is at the bottom of this post.

Today we are bringing you ideas with new product from the Seasonal Expressions Volume 2 Idea Book.  If you haven't seen it yet, please feel free to contact me or one of the amazing consultants on the hop.  We would love to help you get your hands on it!

I was thrilled as could be to open the book and see a stamp set with a coffee cup!!  So I chose to pair Treats of Friendship with one of the new papers called Jackson.

I used Jackson Picture My Life cards to create the background, border strip, and the tag for sentiment stamp.  (As you look through your Picture My Life cards, don't forget that you they work great for cards!)  I stamped the coffee cups in three different papers from Jackson, cut them out, and pieced them together.  I finished off the card with some glacier twine.

Now it's time  to hop over to Lynn's blog.  I am certain she has some kraft-y fun to share with you!  Here are the list of blogs should you get lost:

Freshman

I am going to admit that I pushed my work aside this morning to create.  I had a new picture of Shane, and they are few and far between.  I get excited to sit down and scrap them!  It takes me hours to do a page for Shane's book.  I do love to linger when I am memory keeping.

Don't you think Jackson paper was perfect?  Shane has red tint to his hair and beard, so the barn red color in Jackson really helped me highlight this picture of him.  Our son's life has taken so many twists and turns, and they have not always been good or easy. So when he started college, I knew that I had to keep pages for his adult book.   He recently ended the first half of the semester with a 4.0, and we are so proud of him!

I wanted to show you some highlights of the things I've done on this layout.  I am not afraid to use my embellishments when I want a certain look.  After all, I know where to get more!

I used the April Stamp of the Month's "xoxo" to stamp the border on the the 1/4" strips on the layout.  It's such a subtle touch with all the other patterns, but it adds a whole lot. I created a whole big cluster on the top left with banners, stars (from the Jackson complements), artisan studs, cork circles, and an enamel arrow.  I love adding a little knot of twine.  It frays so nicely!

Now I am going to switch gears and remind you of the Deal of the Day.

Every day at 3:00 pm MT, there is a new deal on my website.  They are mystery boxes filled with current and retired product at double the value of what you pay!  From day to day, you never know what the cost will be, but the deal will be one of five prices - $35, $50, $75, $115, or $150.

These boxes are amazing!  I got so excited when I received my first $35 box!  It contained complements, embellishments, chalkboard paper, a hinged display tray, corner rounder, and more!  All together there was $83 worth of product in there!!  All you need to do is add one regular proced item to your cart, and then you can purchase as many boxes as you wish.
Why not order yourself one today?

Thanks for stopping in!  I always appreciate your visits!!

Blossom Meets Artfully Sent

In case you hadn't noticed, April the month I am showing off Blossom.  I love this paper.  The subtle patterns and textures of this paper make it a pleasure to work with.

Do you have a friends that may be having some tough days?  I think she would like to find this card in her mailbox.

This is an Artfully Sent butterfly card, and I've added some extra butterflies.  It's like a big dose of Spring!  I cut the base twice - once in glacier cardstock, and once in floral Blossom paper.  This allows me to have a big double butterfly.  Isn't that fun?

I hope that you are having a wonderfully blessed Spring day.  Thank you for stopping by today!!

Rose Blossom Blog Hop and the April Stamp of the Month

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  Now this hop is a big circle, so you can just follow the hop from blog to blog.  If you should get lost, there is a list of blogs at the bottom of this post.  Today we want to show you the April Stamp of the Month - Typed Note.

I spent last weekend at a retreat with many of the Rose Blossoms.  I love those girls, and we had an amazing weekend!!  Kimberly, our Pacemaker sister, and my dear friend came from Colorado to scrap with us.  I wanted to put that to paper right away!

This gorgeous paper is called Blossom, and I love the colors!!  I used a simple Reflections layout because I wanted the photo to take center stage.  I used the Blossom Complements to create that lovely flower!  I'll show you the stamps I used from the Stamp of the Month:

I used the typewriter, xoxo, and sentiment.  It's super easy to make the typing paper simply by stamping that portion of the stamp twice, cutting it out, and give the top one a little bend.

Now it's time to head to Lynn's blog!  I know you are in for a treat!

Always just $5 with a $50 purchase!
