Hello Life

I have been seeing an explosion card all over the place.  I wanted to sit down and make one and finally did this past weekend at a retreat.

Well, how much fun is that?  What a great card for a celebration!

This card is all about clustering and tucking things in here and there.  I love the cheerful lagoon in the Skylark paper packet, so I paired that with honey balloons for this card.  The sun, clouds, balloons and circles were cut with the Artiste cartridge.  I finished it off by tying a Skylark fabric bow on the front flap and adding a resin flower from the Skylark assortment.

Let me show you what it looks like when it is closed for an envelope.
(You can find the template HERE.)

Thank you for stopping in on this fine Monday!
I hope that you are looking forward to a most blessed week!

Sending You Happiness

I am at a retreat this weekend, and I am just having so much fun!  It is wonderful to get some pages done and to simply create for the sake of creating.  There are 13 Rose Blossom team members here along with two wonderful customers.  I can't believe the creativity in this room!!
After working on pages, I put together a card.

I used Paper Fundamentals for the background.  Have you seen that in your book?  It's a wonderful packet of 20 sheets of double-sided paper.  One side is print like I have used here.  The other side is the same print, but it is clear embossed.  That allows you to create in so many ways!

I've also used some Balloon Ride paper, and I worked with gold glitter paper for the roses.

The glitter paper works nicely and rolls beautifully!  You will need a good amount of Liquid Glass to do this, but it's worth it.  They are so pretty!!

It's time for me to get back to crafting and all these wonderful women.  Thank you for stopping in and visiting me today.  I hope that your day is so blessed!!

Spring

Well, I am a day late in saying "Happy Spring"!  It was a sunny day here yesterday and was really a nice first day of spring.  However, I woke up to heavy snow this morning, and it's been grey all day.   So I took out some pretty things today to create this door knob hanger!

Almost all of the products I've used for this banner are retired.  I used the very last of my Clementine paper to cut banner pieces using my Art Philosophy cartridge.  To cluster like this, I started by popping up the large fabric flowers.  From there I just tucked in a little of this and a little of that.  Clustering is one of my favorite things to do on a project!

Thanks so much for stopping in today and have a most blessed day!

Easy Living

There is a sketch blog called Cardabilities that I really enjoy.  Karan's sketches are always so inspiring, and they stretch me to go a little bit further when I create.  As a lover of paper, ink, and stamps, I appreciate that so very much!  So this card was inspired by the newest sketch.

I pulled out Jubilee paper for this as I love those summer colors!  I used the Jubilee Workshop on the Go stamp set for the flowers, leaves, and circles.  I find it very soothing to fussy cut once in awhile, and do like the end result.  The lace that you see is actually once of the pieces of paper in this packet.  A little touch of Jubilee fabric finished off the card perfectly.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I am in the midst of working on a slideshow of photos from my trip to Costa Rica, so I'll be sharing that soon.  Have a most blessed week!

Kraft Pocket Album

First of all, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you that shopped my Customer Appreciation Sale!  I am going to be sending out e-mails today (Sunday) to find out what you'd like as your free items!

I wanted to share the album I made for a friend that also went on the Costa Rica trip.

The Kraft Pocket Album is fun and easy to make.  It is about 8" x 6-1/2", and it has hard covers with eight pocket pages. I used Skylark paper, and I filled the pockets with matching Picture My Life cards so that she can record memories.  The exclusive stamp set we earned has beautiful butterflies!  I sponged the stamp with lagoon and sweet leaf pigment inks to make them look more natural and then covered them with Liquid Glass.  Once they were dry, it was easier to cut them out.

Even though this looks quite complicated and clustered, I designed it so that the ribbon could slide right over the top so that the book can be opened.  Other embellishments used are Aqua Dots, Skylark Assortment, and Sparkle Flourishes.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today!  I always appreciate the time you spend here!

Hello There

You have seen how many cards I make.  But I am always running out when it comes time to send a card to a friend!  So today I wanted to make something simple but sweet so I took out Lollydoodle paper.

I had just enough of the juniper pleated ribbon in my stash to use on this card.  It has been long discontinued!  I am always looking for fun new ways to use our twist ties, so I put that on top of the ribbon.  I used one of the circle Irresistible Frames and a wooden butterfly with bling.  The stamp is from the Lollydoodle Cardmaking Workshop on the Go.

In just 39 hours, my husband and I will be on a plane to Costa Rica!  I am so excited to be going on my 3rd incentive trip with Close To My Heart!  What a generous company that truly honors their consultants!

But I want to say thank you to YOU. There is absolutely no way I can take all the credit for this.  I truly appreciate each and every day that you trust me enough to care for your Close To My Heart needs.  It still amazes me every single time a class fills - I am so touched by your continued loyalty.  It is an honor to welcome you into my home and to be welcomed into yours for Gatherings!

I also couldn't do this without my Rose Blossom team.  Their enthusiasm and love for Close To My Heart product makes me strive to be a better consultant and leader.  They are artistic, kind, and very helpful to each other.

I also need to say thanks to my good friend and upline Karen.  She has mentored me and has allowed me to be the exact kind of consultant I want to be.  She knows just how important that is to me, and I appreciate that.  I learn and grow from her continually!

So to everyone that has played a part in me earning this cruise, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Please stay tuned for tomorrow's post as I will be announcing a special Customer Appreciation Special that will run from Friday, March 7th through Saturday, March 15th.

Thanks for stopping by to visit me today!

Studio J

You know, this is a good special this month.  $5 for a two-page layout in Studio J.
So this month I'll be showing you a lot of work that I've done in Studio J.
Don't worry!  I'll throw some cards in here and there for my card makers, but I really want you to see some of the fun things that Studio J can do!  Here's one of my favorites...

I love being able to pop photos into a large photo well.  That's how I got this big picture of my kiddo floating on the tube.  This paper, by the way, is exclusive to Studio J.

You can also place your text box over a photo, and that was the perfect place for journaling on this layout.

Studio J Savings & Stamp of the Month

Have you been looking for a way to catch up on your scrapbooks?
Maybe you have a vacation or event with a lot of photos.
Or maybe you are in need of several photos that are not the standard size.

This month is the PERFECT month to give Studio J a try!
From now until March 31st, Studio J layouts are just $5 - even the Express and Photo Express Collections!!

Let me show you two different types of layouts that I've done in Studio J.

The first layout is one that I created by choosing my own template and paper.  I was able to add bunches of flowers and brads, change colors as I liked, and then added a nice sentiment box.  My grand niece is about as cute as can be, and I foresee scrapping a lot of pages of this little sweetheart!

The next page is from one of the Express Collections.  I like these collections a lot because the page is all ready to go.  All I need to do is pop in photos and journaling, and it's done!

If you haven't given Studio J a try, I encourage you to go in and create a FREE account.  You can create layouts and play as much as you'd like.  You don't pay for anything until you check out!  At $5.00 for a two-page layout, this is a steal!

If you'd like to see more of my examples today, just go up to the search bar and enter Studio J.  Your search will bring you loads of examples of the work I've done!  Keep watching this month for new layouts!

Now let's talk about the March Stamp of the Month, Happy Place.

What a cute little set of nesting dolls with lovely sayings for your scrapbook pages or cards!  As always the Stamp of the Month is just $5 with a $50 purchase!  Here's a card I made using the March Stamp of the Month, some Lollydoodle paper, and Skylark fabric.  I've colored the nesting doll with our alcohol markers.

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  I hope that you have a wonderfully blessed weekend!
