Cut it Up Challenge #2

Did you have fun playing with the first challenge at Cut it Up?  I sure had fun looking at all of your work!  Time for the next challenge!  We'd like to see you create something with a die cut using this photo as your inspiration:
Here is what I created for you as an example:

I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut this CUTE little box with Moonlight paper.  It reminds me of animal crackers - what do you think?  I made a border strip for the box using the September Stamp of the Month, Fall Favorites.  I colored the images using the CTMH alcohol-based markers honey and autumn terracotta.  I added a little twine from one of our sponsors this challenge, Trendy Twine, and the button and flower finished off the box.  Quick and easy!!

Trendy Twine and My Thoughts Exactly have put together this prize package for the winner of this challenge:

I hope to see you play along at this fun fall-themed challenge!!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Happy

Party Time Tuesdays has a 1-2-3 challenge this week.  This is the birthday card I am entering in the challenge!

I plan on catching up on blog reading and commenting this week.  I have been adjusting to my work schedule - I think when I wasn't working on Black Friday weekend, I was sleeping!  Jerry and I snuck away last night for a getaway.  We had a hotel certificate to use before the end of year.  The 21st anniversary of our blind date is on Thursday, so it was a nice time to spend some time together.  But it dawned on me as we were returning home that I am behind on Christmas!!  The weather outside is frightful today, and my warm sweater is so delightful (image the music in your head...), so I am excited to get going on the decorating, etc.

Hope you're having a good start to the week!

Happy Birthday!

Party Time Tuesdays has a great challenge this week - easel cards!  They are so much fun to make - really addictive!!  Of course, I couldn't help but participate as I love growing my stash of birthday cards.  That is what Party Time Tuesdays is all about - making your birthday cards one week at a time!

Here's what I came up using Fancy Pants It's Your Day:
This is such CUTE paper, it was easy to create something festive!  I fussy cut those flowers from a sheet of paper.  The scalloped border holding the card up is a border sticker from the collection.  The Happy Birthday is also a sticker.

Make a card today.  It does your soul good!!

Happy Birthday

The purpose of Party Time Tuesdays is to keep on birthday cards.  I like that a lot because although I make a ton of cards, I don't always have a birthday card on hand when I need it.  This week they gave us a photo for inspiration:

I decided to make a stair step card:

I found some of the new Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 paper and picked up a couple of sheets.  Along with that I used CTMH's A Little Bit of Everything stamp set, Martha Stewart's Double Loop punch, and May Arts ribbon.  This is such a fun pattern, and I love the vintage-y way the card turned out.

This one is going in the Ladybug Crafts Ink ribbon challenge, too!

Have a Wonderful Day

This is my second post for the day, so be srue to scroll down for my Sarah Hurley Cahllenges reveal!

For this card, I used the Card Crazy #4 sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches.  Every Monday in October, they did a sketch in honor of World Card Making Day.  It was so much fun, and I am always so inspired by them!

The card that I made also fits two more challenges:

For my card, I used a CTMH stamp, patterned paper (Felicity), and Sorbet cardstock. Other items used are Martha Stewart punch and flowers; May Arts ribbon; Recollections gems.

A Couple of Cards

Last night I started to feel like I was getting a cold, so I sat down for a little creative time.  Unfortunately it didn't fend off the cold, but I sure had fun!  I wanted to play in a couple of challenges this week.  This first card is for Sassy Lil Sketches Card Crazy #3 challenge.  When you play along with the Card Crazy challenges in October, you have an opportunity to win a mini kit from CupCards{to go}.  Here is the sketch and my card:

I found this cute We R Memory Keepers 4th of July paper, but thought it made a great birthday card.  The stamp is Hero Arts.  This card also works for the anything goes challenge over at Party Time Tuesdays.

My next card is for the challenge at Keep it Simple in which they wanted "charming" cards.  I used my Big Kids Slice card to cut the dress, and then I made it into a card.  The paper and sticker are Cosmo Cricket's DeLovely.

Sassy Lil' Sketches

Today my card was inspired by the new sketch at Sassy Lil Sketches.  I just love the sketches that Cherie creates, so it's always a pleasure to work with them even when it's not my reveal day!  Scroll down my right sidebar to see the paper and digital sponsors for Sassy Lil Sketches this month.  Remember, every time you play (challenges revealed on 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th), you get an entry into the drawing.  That's so awesome!!

I found another blog, Party Time Tuesdays, through Katie at Sassy Lil Sketches.  It's a birthday card challenge blog (how fun is that?!), so my card fits into that challenge (fall -themed birthday) this week as well.

Items used:  Tim Coffey Fall Harvest papers; May Arts wrinkled ribbon; Prima rose; CTMH Gracious Greetings stamp; Martha Stewart Double Loop punch; Mark Richards gems

Sending You a Little Happy

Through another blog, I found Party Time Tuesday.  What a fun idea to make birthday cards for the challenges!  I used a sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches to make this masculine birthday card.  Be sure to join the fun over at Sassy Lil Sketches!  Not only will they have their four regular sketches this month (7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th), but they are doing card sketches every Monday in October in celebration of World Card Making Day!  By participating during the month, you have the chance to win a great prize from CupCards{to go}.  Here's the sketch:

And here's what I did with it:

Items used: Fancy Pants My Family; CTMH ribbon; Unity stamps

New Book, New Look!

Sometimes it just that time to make a change.  I've had this blog you are visiting for 12 years!  Wow, that's a lot of post and a lo...
