Dream Big

There are only a few more days to grab your Taste of Summer paper.  I want you to know that there is so much more to this paper than fruit.  I have specifically created this card today to show you the other side of the paper.

I stamped the butterfly, flowers, and leaves on the subtle backside of the paper. One of my joys is fussy cutting so it as a relaxing craft time cutting them all out.  I thought it nice for this floral card to be photographed in the midst of my hanging fuschia.

The Taste of Summer paper pack is available while supplies last, so hurry and order yours in case it runs out before the 31st!

Thank you so much for stopping in today!

August Scrapbook Workshop - Seaside

Now that I gave you information about my Summer Workshops HERE, I am sharing each of them individually so that you get an idea of what you will learn.  Today I want to talk about August's Seaside.

The first thing that you will most likely notice about this layout is that it is markedly simpler than June and July.  Do you know why that is?  August is a busy month, and I want you to create a layout that will still give you time for family.  Here in Minnesota we are the Land of 10,000+ Lakes.  Summer can be short, and we try to pack in as much as possible on all of those wonderful lakes.  But you are still going to need pages for those memories you make!  So what better way to do it than with glittery green and shimmer trim?

August 11th at 6:30 pm
Andover Senior Center - 1685 Crosstown Blvd NW; Andover
(Long distance will be mailed on August 12th.)
Cost:  $25

Kit includes:
Seaside Paper Packet
Package of Green Glitter Paper (3 sheets)
(2) Extra Sheet Colonial White
(2) Feet Glacier Boardwalk Washi Tape
(2) Feet Juniper Boardwalk Washi Tape
(2) Feet Bronze Shimmer Trim
(54) Gold Sequins
Necessary Die Cuts

My kits are pre-cut, and there will be a lot of extra paper in this kit!  Instructions will be e-mailed to you in PDF format.  If you come to class, you can print them out to use at class.
As a bonus you will receive an extra layout pattern to use at your leisure with your extra paper.

There's a lot going in with this Wanderful layout, and I have so many things to teach you!  The first thing I want you to understand is that you do not have to have pictures from other countries  to use this layout.  These would make wonderful layouts for the lake, a weekend trip away - wherever you want to relax and make memories.  I also think this would make a great graduation layout!

Cost:  $25

Kit includes:

Taste of Summer Note Card

I am so very grateful for the beginning of summer!  There is nothing like green grass, leaves on trees, birds singing, and flowers blooming.  So I nestled today's cards in my geranium.

I used the Vine Embossing Folder on the purple sheet in Taste of Summer.  I sanded it off a bit to give it that little bit of distressed look.  That bunch of lemons is so summery that I just had to add a butterfly, too!  My inspiration for this card came from Lisa at Sketch-n-Scrap.

You have until May 31st to order your Taste of Summer paper (just $8.95 for 12 sheets!) and stamp set.  I am so glad that I have this set in my collection!  It's just plain fun!

I can't leave without showing you the planter that Shane made me for my birthday.  On Mother's Day, he went to the greenhouse with me and then planted it for me.  He painted all the pots and then stenciled flowers on a couple of them.  What a great kid!

Thanks so much for stopping in today for my "taste of summer"!!

Minnie Mouse Meets Taste of Summer

I think you will agree that Minnie Mouse is accessorized perfectly with Taste of Summer paper!

She's about as cute as can be, isn't she?  Let me tell you why I've used Minnie on this card.  Ten lovely Rose Blossoms are joining me at the Close To My Heart Convention in July at Disneyland (just 51 more days!!).  Each month I've been sending them cards to use as journaling spots on their scrapbook pages or in their My Crush book.  I am excited every year to go to Convention, and I hope that these little reminders each month help my girls stay excited, too!

Thanks for stopping in today!  I hope that you are having a great day!!

A Taste of Summer with the Rose Blossoms

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  I have to stop and tell you that the 1st and the 15th are so exciting for me!  I don't get to see my team's artwork until I go through the hop myself.  I am always in awe of their work!  This hop is a circle, so if you follow through you will end up back here at me.

Today we are showing you even more great examples of Taste of Summer,  Have you taken a look at this paper and stamp set?  (I'll remind you of what they look like at the end of the post.)

I love this photo of my sister, Patti, and her granddaughter, Ella.  Truly, it is "berry, berry" sweet so I am glad I had this paper to work with.  I misted my paper in a couple of spots (lower left and to the right of the photo) with a mixture of hollyhock re-inker and alcohol in my spray pen.  The banner and title are from Artbooking.  The strawberry stamp, paper, and colors are perfect for the photo!

Now it's time for you to move on in the hop (and me, too!):

You're a Winner

I am still working on Graduation cards and hopefully giving you some ideas.  I have a couple of nephews that are great baseball players.  One is in college and the one that is graduating this year will be joining his brother.  I thought this was a perfect stamp set for his graduation card.

I didn't use any patterned paper for this card but instead I used stamps!  I used canary ink to stamp the background using the Assorted Edges stamp set.  The slate diagonal stripe banner is also from Assorted Edges.  The other stamped images are from a great stamp set called Team Player.  Perfect for sports!  And as it turns out, it worked pretty well for graduation, too.  The stamps are so awesome that I have to share!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow (Friday) night for the Rose Blossom Blog Hop.  We'll be highlighting the fun Taste of Summer paper and stamps!

Just Sayin' Graduation Card

Within the next month, you probably know at least one person that is graduating.  I thought I should start making some graduation cards for you for inspiration.  I've used the May Stamp of the Month Just Sayin' for this card.

The other stamps I've used are Diploma Day (cap) and Just to Say (wishing you the best).  I've stamped everything with black archival ink because it leaves such a rich stamp.  The paper is from the Wanderful packet, and  my finishing touches are black shimmer trim, black arrow washi, flaxen twine, and some black sparkles.

Thanks for stopping in today!  I always love when you visit!!

Berry Sweet

I've been telling you all about Taste of Summer, but I want to make sure that you see this stamp set up close and personal, too.  It was designed to match the Taste of Summer paper perfectly!

For this bright and cheery card, I use the two strawberries, stem, and half lemons from the stamp set.  If you look closely, you will notice the strawberries are two colors.  I stamped the berry in hollyhock and then rolled the left edge in cranberry to give them that look.  The lemons are in canary ink and the stems in topiary.  I found that sentiment in Cricut Design Space and loved how it looked on this card!

This stamp set is $17.95, and it is only available this month.

Thanks for stopping in today!  I hope that you find your day most blessed!

Rookie of the Year

My nephew plays baseball for a college team.  He's ending his freshman year, and they recently had their sports banquet.  Trevor was named Rookie of the Year, and I was so excited about it!  So naturally, I had to sit down and make a page for him!

I used Wanderful paper as the background, and the black chevron is from Paper Fundamentals.  The stamped images are all from the May Stamp of the Month, Just Sayin'.    If you click on the photo to make it larger, you should be able to notice that I matted the photos and emblem with black glitter paper.  I also used black glitter paper to cut "rookie" with my Cricut.  I kept this relatively flat so that if my sister wants to put it in a frame, she can easily do that,

My other nephew, Trevor's younger brother, will be joining him at the same college next year to play baseball.  I've actually got some pages in the works for Riley because he accomplished some pretty impressive things in football, basketball, and baseball this year.  You'll see those in time.

Rose Blossom Blog Hop - May Stamp of the Month

Welcome to the Rose Blossoms Blog Hop!  Because it's the first of the month, we are highlighting the May Stamp of the Month, Just Sayin'.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stamp of the month for scrapbooking, and I can't wait to show you my examples this month!

If you are already following our circle, you should have come from Mary's very creative blog, The Pixie Dust Playground.  If your are starting here, this is a great big circle, so you can just keep clicking through.  If you should get lost, the list of blogs is at the bottom of this post.

I still have some photos to scrap from the first Incentive Trip I earned with Close To My Heart.  And what a trip that was to the Mediterranean!  I've combined the Wanderful Workshop on the Go with the May Stamp of the Month.  This is going to be the scrapbook class I teach in June, so I will be telling you more about this layout in a week or so.  For now I want to show you some close-ups of the stamp of the month so that you can see how fun it makes a layout!  I've used almost all of the stamps!

As always, the Stamp of the Month is just $5 with a $50 purchase.

Now it's time to move on to Marg, and I know she's got something amazing to show you!  If you get lost along the way, here's our circle:
