Mother

I truly had a wonderful day of scrapping yesterday!  I had so much fun seeing what the challenges were and participating in many of them.  I showed you a couple, but you would have been on overload had I shared them all!  On thing that Stacy Julian said in her opening video for the Big Picture Classes Creative Crop was that scrapbooking is "fantabulous memory-making coolness."  Don't you agree?  Gosh, I love all that I have learned from her!

The last project I made yesterday was actually a Mother's Day gift for my mother.  I had the pieces out all day, and I just kept thinking about how I wanted to put it together.  This is what I came up with...

I purchased this shadow box frame at Michael's a couple of years ago.  It has a brown tone to it, so I knew I wanted to use Buzz & Bumble paper.  I cut two sheets of flowers from the Artiste cartridge, and sponged them with yummy creme brulee ink before I rolled them.  Once I had them on the frame, I really had fun adding this and that - butterflies (from the Artiste and Art Philosophy), cocoa buttons, trinket pins, bling gems, dark chocolate striped grosgrain, and some little wooden bees.  I like the way it turned out, so I hope my mother likes it!

A Gift of Seeds

Today I came home from some "icky" errands...dentist, store return, haircut (although she did a fine job!).  But what could be nicer than finding this in the mailbox from my wonderful friend and downline Lynn:

She used my favorite things - Buzz and Bumble, the color Creme Brulee, and loads of little detail.  She added that to her favorite - kraft paper - and WOWZA - look at the results!  Inside the white envelope are flower seeds (I LOVE that!), and the seed packet stamp is actually a note.  I have to tell you what the note says because it's so clever!  "Brenda, Seeds for the "planter of seeds"...idea seeds that is!  How cute is that?!!  I hope you'll take a moment to go over to Lynn's blog and share some love with her.  You will be inspired!

As I look around my office, there are pieces of my team members everywhere - cards galore, handmade gifts, a wonderful devotional book that I read every day, a warm shawl to cuddle in while I am mulling over an idea, an angel watching over me, and a lovely calendar.  All of these things remind me every single day that I am truly the blessed one to know and guide these women in their businesses.

March Card Kit

THIS CARD KIT IS SOLD OUT!!

What feels more like Spring than bees and flowers?  I love Buzz and Bumble paper - it makes me very happy!  This is my card kit for March, and it costs $6 shipped to you.  Card pieces are pre-cut and pre-stamped and packaged in their envelopes.  It's quick and easy for you to put them together! As always, I have 40 kits for sale, and they are on sale until March 15th.  If they get close to selling out, I put a notice up on my Facebook group (so if you are not friends with me, here is the link).  They will be mailed on March 18th (if not sooner).  When you pay through PayPal, you will receive a notice when I've shipped them.

March Class - Kraft Containers

Aren't these cute containers for gift giving?  Before I tell you anymore, I want you to know that this project was created by the very talented CTMH art studio.  You can see these on page 29 of the Spring/Summer Idea Book.  I loved these the minute I saw them and gathered materials to create them for a class in March.

These containers measure just about 6" tall and are 3" in diameter.  I particularly liked the way these were created for spring gift giving.  How fun for Easter or Mother's Day!  They would also hold a nice pick-me-up for a friend or co-worker (I am thinking chocolate, of course!).  Do you know a gardener that has spring fever?  The seeds container would hold several packets of seeds beautifully!

Sweet as Honey

In March, I am having a background stamping class, and this is one of the cards we will be making.  CTMH carries a lot of really nice background stamps, and it's so much fun to put together a card or project using them.  I love the warm yellow in creme brulee ink, and I especially like pairing it with cocoa.  I've paired the Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the Go stamp with the Honeycomb stamp set.  The stamping is really the focus on this card, so I've only used a few embellishments - baker's twine hemp, artisan studs, and some bitty mocha opaque gems.

Sweet as Honey

Sneak peeks of the product begin today on my blog, so let's start with a card I created using a new paper packet called Buzz and Bumble.  I grabbed the sketch from Deconstructed Sketches to make this card.

Now who can resist vintage bees?  I am in love with this paper!  I've used a new stamp on this card called Honeycomb.  They are all the rage, and the $13.95 stamp set has 12 different honeycombs along with this very sweet sentiment.
