Always Grateful

I was so honored to be a guest designer at ABC Challenges this week!  Their current challenge is to use three patterned papers, and I pulled out my Huntington to create this card.  The flower and leaves are from the Happy Autumn stamp set.  I absolutely love that autumn rose!

I used the sketch from Cardabilities for this card, and I am also going to enter this card into:

Thank so much for stopping by today!  I really appreciate your visits!!

Guest Designer at ABC Challenges....You Are My Anchor

I am so excited to be a guest designer at ABC Challenges for this challenge!  I was even more excited that the challenge is to create a masculine card.  That means if you need masculine ideas (and I think we all do), you should check out this challenge to get your juices flowing!

I grabbed the sketch over at Mojo Monday for this one.  I will officially say that this is my favorite paper in the Spring/Summer Idea Book (it only took me almost 6 months to decide that!).  It is bright, bold, and cheery, and it screams masculine.  We spend a lot of time on the lake in the summer, so this is perfect paper for scrapping those memories.  "You are my anchor" is from the Sail Away stamp set.  I cut the circles and banners using my Artiste cartridge.

Be sure to run over to ABC Challenges and play along!

Everlasting Life

I found a lovely sketch at Sketchbook Saturday, and I decided to put together an Easter card.

Let me tell you a little bit about how I put this together.  First of all, the three colors I've used for this card are Slate, Buttercup, and Colonial White.  There is no patterned paper as I've stamped Colonial White to create the patterns.  I've used the floral stamp from a discontinued set (Intrinsic Backgrounds) to stamp the bottom half of the card as well as the butterflies.  The rolled flowers added just the right amount of balance for the butterflies, and I was able to tuck them around the sentiment which is from Everlasting Life.  The bracket, flowers, and butterflies were cut with the Artiste cartridge.  I've added grey sparkles, washi tape, and grey wool twine to finish off the card.

I'll also be entering this card into:
