August Scrapbook Workshop - Florence
I am so excited about August's Workshop! I love working with flowers, and this workshop is filled with them! Now, first I want to tell you that I can't show you the whole workshop right now. On August 1st, I will update this post and show you the remaining part of the workshop. You guessed it! It includes new product coming out on August 1st!

It's Time for the Magical Rose Blossom Blog Hop

You are Ridiculously Awesome!
I had some Magical scraps sitting on my desk, so I put together this quick and easy card. I used the journaling cards in the paper packet to make it.
The stamp set is called Beyond Awesome, and I think it's one that everyone needs in their collection!

Love This Life
Have you noticed our Picture My Life Watercolor cards? They come in Gold or Clear for easy watercoloring, spritzing, or sponge inking. In case you have no idea what I am talking about, these are cards that have glossy designs that resist ink. I love them because it's so easy to make a beautiful card.
I used watercolors on this card. Basically, I used created a wash with water and paint. Because that leaves the card very wet, I had my heat gun handy to dry the paint. Something really cool happens when you do that. The heat gun blows the wet paint around and leave effects like you see at the bottom right of the polka dot card and the top right of the "love this life" card.
When I create one of these cards, I like leaving them really simple. I used a little long retired organdy ribbon and a few gold sequins. That's all it needed!
One thing about watercoloring is that no two projects will ever be the same. The paint almost has a mind of it's own. And I love that about watercolor. Each piece of artwork is truly unique!

Close To My Heart Convention 2016
My head is still reeling from all I learned at Convention this year! I wish I could show you all kinds of artwork, but that is Top Secret until August 1st!
10 Rose Blossoms travelled with me to Disney World for Convention. I love that! I don't get to see some of these girls very often, so it is a treat for me to spend time with them!
Look at those smiling faces!! Have you ever seen a more beautiful group?!
Thursday morning starts with a General Session that reveals new product. WOW, is that a fun day!! If you love Close To My Heart product (and I know many of you do), then you would love this General Session! We get to see things that are coming out August 1st. After General Session we always receive a bag with the brand spanking new Idea Book. This year, Close To My Heart gave us a beautiful mint rolling tote. Oh, I love it!! And if you have a Gathering with me, you will see walking up to your door with that very rolling tote.
I was asked to teach an Extravaganza class at Convention. I can hardly wait to show you what I created for the class! I always feel so honored to teach, so it is a great joy for me to share my ideas. In these next couple of photos, you will get a sneak peek!
On Thursday evening, the Directors were treated to a fabulous dinner and a cruise in Disney's Contemporary Marina to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. And of course, I loved my time with Minnie and Mickey! This was a magical night I won't soon forget.
Friday was another magnificent day! Besides learning and learning some more (which I LOVE), Close To My Heart had an incredible reception for 12 consultants that achieved a challenge given to us at the Team Builders event in January. Again, I was so honored to be included in a reception with these amazing women!
On Friday evening, Close To My Heart held the Consultant Creativity Showcase. Four of my team members participated, and I was so proud of them!! One of the things I love about my team is their willingness to share their talent! Each one of them had a beautiful display and got to speak with many other consultants about their work as well as people from our Home Office.

Saturday was over-the-top amazing! So many good things happened!! Jeanette Lynton, CEO and founder of Close To My Heart spoke with us. I can't even explain how much I admire this woman. I love and so appreciate her vision. She is just beautiful inside and out, and it's such a joy to listen to her. For me, that time was filled with tears, laughter, love, and overwhelming gratitude that I am a Close To My Heart consultant.
For the evening, we got to dress up for the Awards Banquet. Now as someone that works at home full-time, this is a huge deal. I think you'll agree that I have some pretty lovely women on my team!
Even though these things happened about two weeks ago, it has been lovely to look through photos and share with you. I am one proud team leader! Many of these lovely women have never met each other face to face. But because of our active Facebook group, they greeted each other like old friends! And that was truly a joy to see!!
We are all looking forward to Convention next year in Salt Lake City. There is so much fun to be had at Convention - a lot of laughter, excitement, learning, and building of friendships. I love chatting with our Consultants from here and Australia. Everyone has so much to share, and I love hearing new ideas.

It's Time to Celebrate
The very first time I saw the Carnival Fun stamp set and matching Thin Cuts in the Seasonal Expressions 2 book, I knew I would HAVE to have them! I love summer time, parties, festivals, and the Minnesota State Fair. These stamps are a must in my collection!
I put together a quick card this morning, and because it says "It's time to celebrate!" it can be used for many occasions! (NOTE: This is a stamp from the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection which is retiring on July 31st!) The popcorn box and pretzel are Thin Cuts. SO CUTE. I've used Magical paper to bring it all together.
What a fun card filled with celebration for the summer months!!
I also want to let you know that there are many things retiring on July 31st. Paper, stamps, colors from the Adventure palette, embellishments, home decor, and the list goes on and on! We are making room for all the super fun product that is being released starting August 1st.

Rose Blossom Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
It's that time again for the Rose Blossom Blog Hop! We are bringing you artwork using the July Stamp of the Month, and I know there will be a variety of work to inspire you. This hop is a circle, so you can simply follow along until you end up right back here with me.
The name of the stamp set is From Your Notebook, and it's perfect for your scrapbook pages.
I wanted to show you how you could make a colorful card using these fun stamps.
Using Honey, Pacifica, and Cranberry ink, I stamped "Super" numerous times on White Daisy cardstock. I punched out the circles with the 1" punch and adhered them to the card front with thin 3-d foam tape. I stamped the tag with Pacifica ink and then grabbed my Beyond Awesome stamp set for that fun sentiment "some kind of awesome." I stamped "real life" with Cranberry ink and adhered it to the top of the tag. I found some red and white baker's twine in my stash and wrapped it around the front of the card to attach the tag. This is a cheerful card, and I love the way it turned out!
