blessed

I am at a very lovely hosted retreat this week, and my goal is to make a lot of headway on my Hawaii book.  I have actually completed a lot of pages already, so I took a break from pages to make some home decor.  Because I am wishing for an early Spring, I grabbed my Brushed paper packet and a canvas.

I love everything about this canvas - the paper, the Cricut cuts (Art Philosophy, Artiste, and Artbooking), the bright colors, the butterflies.  This will make a wonderful piece for Easter.

I am going back to scrapbooking now. I hope that you are having a wonderful day!!

Simply Inspired Bog Hop

Welcome to the Simply Inspired Blog Hop!  Today we are highlighting Hostess Rewards stamps set  from the  Annual Inspirations book and the new Seasonal Expressions Volume 1 Idea Book.  These are specific stamp sets that you can only purchase with Hostess Rewards when you host an online or home gathering.   If you came here from Bren's blog, you are on the right path.  This blog hop is a big circle so you can start here and work your way around.  I know you will have fun being inspired!

I chose to work with the Hats Off.  Let me show you my card, and then I will show you the stamp set.

I wanted to make this a feminine vintage-style card.  I love the newsprint piece of paper from the Heartstrings collection, and it was perfect for this card.  I also used the Artiste cartridge to cut the flowers, clock, banners, and Roman numeral border.  By adding flowers, silver glitter paper, and some pretty embellishments, I was able to turn this masculine stamp set into some very lovely!

Here is the stamp set:

Now it's time to move on to the next blog hop!  You are going to visit Krista, and I know she has something fabulous waiting for you in her crafty corner!

Sunkissed Kraft Album

I really didn't forget about you!  My husband and I just returned from a week long stay at the Disney Aulani resort on the island of Oahu.  I am so grateful to Close To My Heart for this amazing trip.  You know, I am blessed to do what I love every day, and it is just over-the-top fabulousness for Close To My Heart to do these trips to reward hard work.  I'll share much more in the days and months ahead through scrapbook pages.

Today I want to share the album I made for my leader Karen and my sister team member Kimberly.  It was such a joy to spend extended time with them over the week!

This is the My Creations Kraft Mini Book.  I love this one because it has page protectors built in.  It is constructed of sturdy chipboard and the mini page protectors hold 4" x 6" and 3" x 4" photos or Picture My Life cards.  For the cover, I used Seaside paper (my favorite!), an Artbooking overlay of the sun rays, and a Seaside PML card.  There are many pages and I completed them with Seaside PML cards, but I thought I'd share a collage of my favorites.

I used the exclusive stamp set that Close To My Heart gave the trip earners as well as Seaside Complements.  Oh, this was a fun book to make with such beach-y colors!!

Look for this mini book to be a class in June to help you record your summer memories.
Now I can't leave you today without sharing a couple of my favorite photos from Hawaii!

The waves were spectacular!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend!!

Rose Blossom Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  We are going to share February's Stamp of the Month,  A Happy Hello.   I know my team members have amazing artwork to share with you!  Now this hop is a big circle so no matter where you start, you can follow the loop.  In case you get lost, I've got a list of the seven blogs near the bottom of this post.

I stamped  whole bunch of flowers using the Adventure Pigment Inks.  The colors I chose from the tower are honey, pacifica, hollyhock, lagoon, and gypsy.  I used the embossing stylus to make a grid on my pacifica cardstock and then sanded the paper to bring out the embossing.  I simple stacked and clustered the fussy cut flowers to my liking.  A few flamingo dots and pixie twine finished off the card nicely.

Let me give you a couple of tips when using pigments.  First of all, the best way to store them is using the foam insert for pigments and the small organizer.  It keeps the lids on these 1" pads, and it also makes them easy to grab and use.  I'm often asked about cleaning the pigments.  When I am done using the stamp, I spritz it and then clean with a baby wipe.  After I get the majority of the ink off, I spritz it again and clean the stamp with the double scrubber.

Now it's time to move on on to Lynn's blog!  I know she's designed something beautiful and krafty with this lovely stamp set!

Should you get lost along the way, here are all the blogs:
