Colorful Spain

Those treats in Barcelona were so colorful! I simply had to scrap the "sweet" memories. All the product I've used is from Close To My Heart. Now I'll tell you a little about technique. Aren't those brads fun? I bet you are wondering how I did that! The juniper paper was formed using a Crafter's Workshop template - the 12x12 Orchid template. So easy to make your fun-shaped paper that way. The template also has small holes in that form. I simply used my paper piercer to make holes for the brads. If you do this technique, be sure to have time to be patient! It takes some time to place all the brads - LOL! But how fun the page looks! The letters "colorful Spain" were colonial white. I took them off the sheet and put them on wax paper (they retain their stickiness that way). From there I sponged them with creme brulee ink. After that I sponged the bottom with sorbet. That's why it looks like I have two-toned letters.

You have been "in" my craft room through pictures. You know I have the Cricut and Slice. Yet, I still prefer making letters this old-fashioned way. Either I'll use stickers or cut out stamped letters. It's just so relaxing for me. That's what it's all about!! And by the way, this brings me one page closer to getting that Mediterranean memory book done!

OMG, YUMMY, Brenda this is stunning! I know I have some of those templates and can't find them. My Ashlea and I have been moving the scrapbooking room into her room and who knows where they are! I so love your brad technique! You rock toots! I so wish we lived somewhat close to one another! I'd love to crop with you in person sharing our faith, excellent coffee, and great friendship!!!
