I love being a Close To My Heart consultant, and it has enriched my life in so many ways!

• I learn new creative techniques at events and in the Consultant Online Office.
• I have built amazing friendships with other consultants and customers, and they will be in my life forever.  Paper crafting people are some of the BEST people!
• I have been to Disneyland and Disney World!  We never took Shane there, and it was such a joy to experience the parks during Convention with some really huge Disney fans.

• I love to teach classes!  Some of them are designed by me and some by Close To My Heart, but no matter which it is, I have a blast showing people new things!
• In February, I am going on my 5th Incentive Trip with Close To My Heart.  My husband and I have seen Spain, Italy, France, Grenada, Dominica, St Thomas, St. Croix, St. Kitts, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and in February we will see St. John, the Bahamas, and Tortola!  We could not do this on our own, and I am SO GRATEFUL for the opportunity to earn these adventures!

Christmas Thank You

I hope that you had a most blessed Christmas!  We had wonderful celebrations with family and friends.  It is always so good to catch up with everyone and to see how families are growing.  Now that Christmas is over, it's time to send thank you cards for the beautiful gifts you received.

The background of this card is from the White Pines paper packet.  White Pines retires on December 31st - just a few days away!  Don't delay in ordering yours!  I paired this paper with the lovely Floral Banners stamp set.  The ink colors are glacier, sorbet, and fern.

I have to share what my favorite Christmas moment was this year.  On Christmas morning, our little family was sitting in our jammies in the family room.  Jerry was in the recliner - just where a dad should be.  I was sitting on one end of the couch with our beagle cuddled up next to me. Our son was lying on the rest of the couch with his head on the pooch's belly.  Our black cat was rolled up next to Shane purring like crazy as we watched the yule log.  For that 20 minutes time was perfect.  In those moments I realized how very blessed we are by the gift of the Father's grace, redemption, love, and healing.

January La Vie En Rose Workshops - SOLD OUT

Rose Blossom Blog Hop (and a Giveaway!)

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  With only 10 days till Christmas, we wanted to bring you last minute gift ideas that you can make with your paper crafting supplies.  There are seven of us in this circular hop, so grab your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will be inspired!

For me, last minute gifts are usually gift cards.  I wanted to make you a gift card holder using some of my favorite quick and easy supplies.  Read on for the directions!

I used Fern cardstock for the base.  You can find this gift card cut on the Artiste cartridge (p. 55 Card), and I cut it at 5-1/4".  Using the Fern sheet from Enchantment Paper Fundamentals, I cut another base at 5".  I just cut a portion of it for the front.  I cut the snowflake pieces from Art Philosophy (p. 27 Shift and p. 27 Layer + Shift).  Red and silver glitter paper really made the snowflake pop!  I wrapped some fern and cranberry twine around the card and then hand cut my banner from one of the White Pines Picture My Life cards.

Now lets look at the inside:

I cut another base in White Daisy at 5".  I cut it apart for the inside covers.  I used the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set for my sentiment.  Now this is something different I do with my gift card holders.  You can leave the center loose so that it flaps from side to side.  I like to adhere my to the inside of the card as shown.  It makes a firmer pocket and there's less chance of the card falling out!

Quick and Easy Christmas Card

Right about now, it's getting be crunch time for all of us that like to make our Christmas cards.  I want to offer you a quick and easy way to finish up your cards!

This is the Cut Above Boughs and Berries card kit.  First, I will show a card exactly as the kit shows.  All the pieces are pre-cut and everything is included in the kit.  You just add your favorite Christmas stamp or you can choose to order the M-Sized Christmas Joy stamp as shown for just $2.95.

Although I love all the boughs and berries, this card was a little busy for me.  

Here are the changes I made:

I flipped the card to a landscape view.  I cut the white daisy cardstock at 2-3/4" x 4", and I stamped it with a sentiment from Holly Jolly Christmas.  That stamp set has some great sentiments for the inside of your card.  I layered that piece with pear cardstock cut at 3" x 4-1/4".  So easy, but a completely different look!

Rose Blossom Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

 Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  We are excited to show you all the ways that you can use the December Stamp of the Month, Candlelight Garden.  This hop is a great big circle so now matter where you start you will get through the circle quickly and be really inspired!

Such a soft, subtle card when using watercolors and a blending pen.  I love the mason jar!  This is just one of so many possibilities with this set, and I know my team is going to inspire you!
