Last Day for the June Stamp of the Month!

Today is the very last day to order KABOOM!, the June Stamp of the Month.  I wanted to make a card using non-traditional colors with this set so that you can see it can be used all year round.

This card doesn't take many ingredients - white daisy cardstock, black chevron basic paper fundamentals, honey washi tape, and black archival ink.  You can use black dye ink as well, but I like the richness of archival ink.  I put a little honey washi tape on the back of a clear button to make my own embellishment for the center of the fireworks. Someone requested that I start showing the inside of my cards, so here we go!

Carefree

Today I worked with some Babycakes Picture My Life cards to create this card.

I am so enjoying cutting these cards apart to create, and I used pieces of nine journaling cards to make this.  Babycakes is such a fun paper, and I am glad that even though it is retiring at the end of July, it can live on through Picture My Life and Studio J.

You Are My Cup of Tea

I've been enjoying playing with the Picture My Life cards in the past few weeks.  Each Picture My Life program is bursting with 122 double-sided cards in 3" x 4" and 4" x 6" horizontal and vertical designs.  This system of scrapbooking is created to pair with approximately 100 photos that fill the ten included Memory Protectors.  There are eight different theme-specific programs, but they are easily mixed and mingled to create your own unique album in a flash!

Now, as fun as these programs are for scrapbooking, I've started to see other uses for them!  I've created some cards to show you in the next few days using cards from different programs.  

I used a couple of cards from the Chantilly program for this friendship card, and a sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday for my inspiration.  These cards can be used as they are, or you can add a little something to them like I did with the bitty sparkles on the tea cup.

Easy Living

I have had this fabric flower sitting on my shelf for some time waiting for a purpose.  So today I created a simple card using the matching Jubilee paper.  What fun summer inspiration and a good reminder!  We need a little easy living in the summer!

Happy Sunday!

It's such a beautiful day here in Minnesota, so I wanted to make another bright and cheerful card for you.  I had a little Lollydoodle left and that seemed like the perfect paper.

I gathered a lot of embellishments together for this one - flamingo dots, hollyhock zipper lace, twist ties, and silver shimmer trim.  The sentiment is one of the Lollydoodle stickease. I jut have to stop and say, that it's really nice - wonderful, in fact - to work with Close To My Heart products!  Everything goes together so quickly and easily because there are so many coordinating products!

I am tempted to write nothing else.  This card is so bright, cheerful, and full of sunshine that words almost aren't necessary!  What I do want to tell you is this.  I hope that you are happy today, and that your life is full of blessings, all good things, and loads of love.  I am very blessed just because you stopped to visit me today!

Kaboom!

I love June's Stamp of the Month, Kaboom, and I think you are going to love it, too!

It is so fun to stamp random fireworks!  I stamp 12x12 sheets and then just cut it down to the size I need.  Mostly because once I start stamping fireworks, I just can't stop!  I used honey, pacifica, and cranberry inks, some ruby chevron ribbon, and a few red sparkles.  Really, stamping is the hero of this card!
