Adventure Fundamentals Workshop Layout #4 and All the Details!

Adventure Fundamentals Workshop Layout #1

I am thrilled to be bringing you the Adventure Fundamentals Workshop!  Over the next four days, I will be sharing the each one of the layouts so that you can get a good look at them.  Each set of pages will have a different color palette, but one thing in common is that they will all be bright and bold!

The colors used here are Cranberry, Pacifica, and Lemon.  I've used these pages for baseball, but you could used them for the beach, 4th of July - almost anything summer!!

Dreamin' Big Workshop Kit

Close To My Heart Events

I love going to Close To My Heart Events!  I love to learn more about how to grow my business, and I love having time to learn new artwork techniques from the Close To My Heart art department.

My favorite reason for going to events, though, is the friendships that I share with other consultants.  We don't see each other that often, and it's wonderful to sit down and talk!  

So let me tell you about some of the events....

Team Meetings & Crops

My Rose Blossom team is a highly creative team.  I try to do all of my meetings in the form of a day crop or retreat.  It's a wonderful thing when we can all create together!  And we even cover business and learn new things to help us in our Close To My Heart businesses!

Launch Events

This event is a blast!  Close To My Heart sends people from the Home Office to different cities to teach artwork and share some business tips for the upcoming Seasonal Expressions book.  They also hand our awards and do giveaways!  The event 3 hours long and is only $35 (can you believe it?!).  We leave with stamp sets, a new Seasonal Expression book, and finished artwork to show our customers.  Here's a photo of my team from the last event in Bloomington.  I also had team members attend in Pennsylvania and California!

We have another Launch Event coming up on March 25th, and Close To My Heart will be visiting Bloomington (MN), Detroit (MI), Alexandria (VA), Anaheim (CA), Sacramento (CA), Andover (MA), Navarre (FL), Salt Lake City (UT), San Antonio (TX), Seattle (WA), and St. Louis (MO).  If you have given thought to joining CTMH, this would be a GREAT time so that you could attend one of these events!

Team Builders

I just attended this event in January in Salt Lake City, and it is truly one of the best events I've been to!  This is held for Managers and above, and anyone that earns the Incentive Trip each year.  There is a whole lot of learning, and this year there was a whole lot of artwork time, too!

Convention

I don't even know how to describe Convention!  It is 3 days FILLED with activity (and very little sleep)!  There are new product reveals, business classes, creative classes, artwork showcases, and a beautiful awards dinner.  This event is something I could never miss because it means so much to me to connect with Close To My Heart sisters and Home Office staff that I may only see once a year.  Again - with all the good teaching that I love - it's still those friendships that I treasure the most!

Here are a couple of photos of my beautiful team members that made the trip to Disney World with me last year.  This year, there are 9 of us going to Salt Lake City for the Convention at the end of June.

Incentive Trips

Close To My Heart has Incentive Trips for meeting sales and team building goals.  They pay for you and a guest (airfare, transfers, and accommodations!), and I have been blessed to earn 6 of these trips.  Every last one has been such a joy!

This is just one of the many places we have been.  This is Trunk Bay on St. John's.  Gorgeous!!

The next Incentive Trip Close To My Heart is offering is Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand.  Our son would really like to go on that trip with me, so I am working hard to earn that one for him!

My husband works very hard - 50-60 hours a week - and there is no opportunity for him to earn something like this.  I feel incredibly blessed to have the chance to earn trips.

Stamp of the Month - Easter Bunny

I hope you've been enjoying the examples I've been showing you with the Easter Bunny Stamp of the Month.  I wanted to make sure that you saw different uses so that you know this can be a year round stamp set.  

I used Whimsy papers, Baby Boy complements, and Whimsy ribbon.  Now, I used a love theme for this card, but it could easily be used for a baby card, too!

I used Pastel Green and Barely Beige Shinhan markers, and the grey on the bunny is a watercolor pencil.  I love that coloring mediums can all be used together!

Stamp of the Month - Easter Bunny

Today and tomorrow I want to continue showing you examples of the Stamp of the Month, Easter Bunny.  These bunnies are so stinkin' cute, and I am finding lots of uses for them!

I KNOW you have a girlfriend that you'd like to send this card to!  I pulled out the Sweet Leaf patterns from the Whimsy Fundamentals.  Do you notice that Sweet Leaf ribbon across the card?  I love this about Close To My Heart.  There's always matching product to the paper!  The flowers, banners, and butterflies are from the Baby Girl Whimsy Complements.  I colored the bunny with Barely Beige, Tender Pink, and Pansy Purple Shinhan markers.  I removed some color using the blending marker to make the bunny as subtle as the card colors.

Hello Lovely and the matching complements, embellishments, and stamps are beautiful!  I've got a family layout to share with you.  This will go on the wall in the living room.

I used a couple of Cricut cuts on this layout - a doily from Art Philosophy and Snowdrop Flowers from the Flower Market cartridge.  Don't you think the complements matching those diecuts perfectly?  These two are truly my happy place, and I love creating layouts like this!  Here are a couple of close-ups for you.  Look at that blush ribbon!!

Stamp of the Month - Easter Bunny

This morning, I took out my ink pads and small waterbrush to work on the Stamp of the Month, Easter Bunny.  Did you know that you can color your images that way?

Before you open your ink pad, squeeze it so that ink transfers from the pad to the inside of the cover.  Use your small waterbrush to pick up the ink color.  For the rabbit, I used smoothie for the dress, desert sand for the head, and pixie for the ears.

Stamp of the Month - Easter Bunny

I'd like to focus on the Stamp of the Month, Easter Bunny, for the next week.  This is such a great set, and I know that you will want to have it for your Easter projects.  The Stamp of the Month is always the best special we have  - and it's every month without fail!!  

Isn't she a sweetheart?  The lovely background paper is from the Whimsy Fundamentals.  You will want that paper pack in your collection for the spring months.  I colored this sweet bunny with Shinhan markers in Cerulean Blue, Barely Beige, and Pastel Peach.  When you color with the markers, always stamp your image with Memento ink.  Do you see that little touch of grass at her feet?  That is part of the stamp set!  I will use that all year long on my cards and pages.

If you haven't gotten serious about Valentine's Day yet, it's time!  We are only 6 days away!

I grabbed some cardstock, clear overlays, and my piercing tool for the base.  The doily is from the Artbooking cartridge.  I went through my complements to see what bits and pieces I had left, and I found "love" and hearts in the Sugar Rush complements.  "You +Me" is  from the You and Me complements.  A few clear Sugar Rush Dots and some stamped xoxo's from the Friendly Wishes set, and my card was done!  You can do this, too simply by looking through bits and pieces of what you have left.
