Happiness

Today I'm sharing some paper available August 1st, and it's called Clementine.  Such rich, gorgeous fall colors!

This is one of my favorite little flowers on the new Cricut Artiste cartridge.  It stacks so well and the petals allow nice "bunching" to make it look like a real flower.  The Artiste cartridge also has cute little button shapes, so I cut one of those to make the center of the flower.  Now this burlap that you are looking at is one of our new ribbons.  Don't you love it?

I can't wait until you can view the new Idea Book!  You are going to love everything about it!!

Thinking of You Box

It feels like I'm not showing you much artwork these days, but I have been busy creating loads of artwork every single day!  I am getting boards and make 'n' takes ready for my Open House next Saturday, August 4th.  Are you planning to come?  Click on the Open House tab at the top of my blog for all the details!

I thought I would show you one of the projects guests will be making that day.  I've only had my Artiste cartridge a little over a week, but I am in LOVE with the different images and all the 3-D items it can make!  So when you visit my Open House, I want you to try some of the fun things on the cartridge.

Gifts

One of the really fun things about attending any Close To My Heart corporate events is sharing gifts with your roommate.  It's just so much fun to create for this!  I showed you the notecard box I made for my wonderful friend and downline Marg in this post, and today I want to share what she gave me!

Marg knows that I continually work on my journaling and everyday scrapping skills, and I so appreciate this book!  I quickly and went to find Jennifer Wilson, and I highly recommend you check her out.    She also made a box filled with Florentine cards for me.  How lovely!!  I believe she captured the idea from one of our favorite go-to Close To My Heart creators, Lisa Stenz.  What wonderful, heartfelt gifts!

Along with the box, I also made Marg a rose blossom pin.  We were representing my Rose Blossom team, after all!

Time Can't Stand Still

Today I want to share a video from Convention that truly had an impact on me.  Stacy Julian shared this at the end of her address.  If you are a scrapbooker or a memory maker or if you are a mother of children growing way toooooo fast, you will appreciate this.  Please check out Stacy Julian's blog because I know you will love her.  You may already know her from Big Picture Classes.

Stacy taught me something very important during her talk.  I can let go of the guilt over the fact that I have many, many pictures of Shane without dates on the back.  All these years I have felt like a terrible mother for not knowing exactly what age Shane was in some pictures and because of that, I have tons of toddler year pictures that aren't scrapped.  You know what?  It's okay!!  I was busy making memories, and those pictures and memories in my mind are so much more important than the date.  It's all about the story - not the date and not even necessarily about the photo sometimes.  Before I turn into a blubbering mess again, I am going to share this video.  Enjoy...and don't forget to write down your stories.

Another Sneak Peek...La Belle Vie

When I saw this paper, I immediately fell in love.  I deemed it my favorite new paper packet right away.  Then I looked the new Fall/Winter Idea Book, and I didn't know if I could pick a favorite anymore - there is so much goodness in the book!  (Have you ordered yours yet?  Just click on the button on the left.)  But then I worked with La Belle Vie, and it quickly became my favorite.  Well, at least for today.  Truly, when you see the new Idea Book, you'll have the same dilemma as me!

You know I love the CTMH color Smokey Plum.  So it was a natural fit for me to fall in love with the mauves in this paper packet.  I will be telling you much more about this paper packet in the days to come, but I wanted to give you this little look today.  Before I go though, I'll let you know that all of the unique die-cuts were made with the new Cricut Artiste cartridge.  Is there any wonder why I love my job?

Cricut Artiste Collection

Cricut announced this new cartridge today, and the images are also now available in the Cricut Craft Room.  So it's time now for me to share this with you!

A Little Sneak Peak...

Today I put together the new Scroll Album.  When I went to Convention, we were given one of these, and I couldn't wait to get home and put it together.  Of course, we had time there, but really, I was too busy talking!!

This is about 3 feet long when it's open, and it's made with heavy duty kraft paper.  After you've put it together with Bonding Memories and Liquid Glass, you can roll it right back up.  I love this unique album, and I think it's really impressive!
