The Big Bash, $40 Free Product, and One Half-Price Item

In my last post I told you about the Hostess Rewards Stamp Sets that will be available August 1st.  These are exclusive sets that are available only through January 31st, and I think they are one of the best reasons to have a Gathering!  I grabbed a Sweet Sunday sketch to create this card.

The Party is On!

Are you counting down the days till the new Fall/Winter Idea Book is LIVE?  I know that if I wasn't a consultant, I would be chomping at the bit waiting to see all this fabulous new product!  Today I made an Artbooking 2-page layout (come back for the Artbooking hop on August 4th to see that), 4 cards, and a piece of Base & Bling jewelry.  This is one of the cards I made using Sarita paper.  This is a surprising paper packet filled with rich color and design.  Now let me tell you about this stamp...

Live in the Moment

I must be in the mood to make step cards because I went from the side step the other day to this center step card.  They add so much interest and are really so much fun!

Did you know that in just one week from today you can start ordering the new fall/winter product?  I am so happy that you are going to be able to start getting your hands on all this goodness!  This paper is Sarita, and it is a lovely mixture of cotton candy, lagoon, outdoor denim, gypsy, and goldrush.  Now who would have though that you could put all these wonderful colors together!  I added a sparkle flourish, a new wooden embellishment, and some Sarita fabric.  While I was tying this bow, I found myself wishing that ALL of our paper came with matching fabric.  I loved incorporating fabric into this card!  The ornate frame on the front of the card is from the Artbooking cartridge.  Wowie, do I like what I am learning on that cartridge!

Laugh Lots...and One Lucky Winner Will Receive This Card!

I am really enjoying working with the new product and bringing these sneak peeks to you!  One of the things that I love is the surprise I find when I start cutting paper and putting it together with ink and stamps.  Do you know what I mean?  Sometimes when we first look at a paper, we think we might not like it so much.  But once we start working with it - WOWIE!  That's how I feel about Laughing Lola.  It's absolutely lovely paper, but I didn't know if the colors and patterns spoke to me.  In the past few days, I surely have found out that I can't get enough of the Laughing Lola purple and gold!

The sentiment is from the Laughing Lola cardmaking Workshop on the Go.  Perfect sentiment for the colors, right?  The side stair step card is just so fun to make, too.  I added some of the Laughing Lola dimensional elements, twine for the cardmaking workshop, gems from the black Base & Bling jewels, and one of the Base & Bling floral accents.

Team Meeting

We had a wonderful Rose Blossom team meeting last evening, and I wanted to share with you.  It's just such a joy to spend this time with my team and maybe say one or two things that might stick.  I am not a very profound speaker, but I am so excited about CTMH, and I do like to share my experiences with them.

I started my meetings with recognition, and these are the awards I have my 5 Top Sellers and 2 Top Team Builders made with new paper and stamps that will be released August 1st.

We packed a lot into two hours talking about Convention, new product, and business.  It was a pleasure to have two of my team members speak!  Marg spoke about Convention and Sara taught us about fabric flowers.  We videoed portions of the meeting so that our long distance team mates could  be a part of things, too!

These are a few cards I received last evening.  Gosh, the words written inside and thought behind these cards humbles me, and I don't even know how to begin say thank you to these gals for their thoughtfulness.

New Reveal at Sketch-n-Scrap!

It's time for a new sketch at Sketch-n-Scrap!  I have really enjoyed looking through your work from the first challenge this month.  You still have time to play with that sketch of the month, and now we have a second one for the month.  (Be sure to visit Sketch-n-Scrap for all the DT inspiration!)

Isn't this great?  I love that this sketch is wide open to possibility!  Here's what I came up with:

Now who could resist this sweet little blond boy covered in popsicle juice?  I know I never could!  This is Shane, and I took these photos 23 years ago.  My precious, precious boy.

This layout is cardstock and stamping, and the colors I've used are Pacifica, Honey, Cranberry, and White Daisy.  I created the banners using a new background stamp that will be released on August 1st.  The other stamps I used are For Always Card-Making WOTG  (stars, dots), Sightseer (chevron, "photo favorites") and My Sunshine (Bob Marley sentiment).  "Coolin' Off is an image from the new Artbooking cartridge.

I loved going back in time to bring these photos to a memory page.  So get those old photos out and scrap a couple.  You'll be surprised at how good your soul feels when you are done!

It's my turn to reveal at Rose Blossom Garden today.  Have you visited us over there?  I can't tell you how fun it is to work with my team in this way.  I hope you'll go and visit us - we love to bring our followers new artwork!

This is what I created for the Artiste "K" key challenge using the card image:

I love the card base, the butterfly, and the flower on this key, so I found a way to combine all three with Avonlea paper.  This is such beautiful paper, and I am sorry to say that it is gone.  (I do have one left to sell, so if you need it, please let me know!)  I think the interest on this card is the ribbon cluster.  I used color ready and rosette ribbon coloring both of them with a whisper marker.  The slate trinket pin and grey sparkle finished off the card.

Welcome Baby

There is something about making a baby card that is just so sweet and fun.  I don't have a lot of reason to make them right now, but I absolutely love a good baby stamp with matching paper.  I grabbed a sketch over at Sweet Sunday and got to work this morning.

This is Babycakes paper and the stamp set is called B is for Baby.  Both of these will be available on August 1st in the Fall/Winter Idea Book.  This is such a gender neutral paper, and I absolutely wish I had packets and packets of it when I completed Shane's first year book.  I love the mixture of neutrals (Slate and Chocolate) with Buttercup and Sunset.  This is lovely paper, and if you have scrapping to do, baby gifts to make, or mini albums to create, you'll want to remember this paper!

Christmas in July

It's pretty hot and humid here in Minnesota today, so it was a pleasure to pull out the new winter paper that will be released on August 1st.  I grabbed the Mojo Monday sketch, and did a little work with Frosted.  

If you read my blog, you will know by looking at it, that this WILL be one of my favorites!  I love the soft muted tones of the paper.  The color ready ribbon inked with cashmere was a really nice match.

Sneak Peek

For the rest of this month, I will be working with the new product and getting work done for my Open House on August 2nd & 3rd.  So I will have a lot of sneak peeks for you!  I may not tell you much about them for now because the product is not available until August 1st.  But this will give you a good idea of what is to come!
